"We did what we needed to" says Klopp
Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting on Saturday condoled the demise of spinner Shane Warne, calling him the best bowler he ever played with or against. Warne, 52, died on Friday due to a suspected heart attack. "Hard to put this into words. I first met him when I was 15 at the Academy. He gave me my nickname. We were teammates for more than a decade, riding all the highs and lows together. Through it all he was someone you could always count on, someone who loved his family," tweeted Ponting.
Shane Warne's family have accepted the offer of a state funeral in Australia to honour the cricketing legend, it has been announced.
Warne, who died of a suspected heart attack on Friday while holidaying in Thailand, will receive a state funeral, a government official confirmed on Sunday. Australian MP Daniel Andrews, the Premier of Victoria, announced on Twitter that Warne's family has allowed the public to mourn with them. "I've spoken with the Warne family again today and they have accepted my offer of a State Funeral to remember Shane," Andrews tweeted.
Shock and disbelief were the dominant themes as Australia’s newspapers reacted to the death of Shane Warne at the age of 52.
