Afridi disturbed the woodwork of Sussex opener Tom Haines with a beautiful out-swinger for 17 runs. The ball, that seemed to have pitched just short of good-length, seamed away after pitching and knocked over the top of off-stump as the left-arm pacer burst into his trademark celebration.

The County Division 2 fixture between Sussex and Durham ended in a draw on Sunday at the County Ground, Hove. Cheteshwar Pujara and Mohammad Rizwan were the standout performers for Sussex as the duo played knocks of 203 and 79, respectively in the first innings and this helped the side post 538 runs on the board. Rizwan then bowled two overs for Sussex in the second innings with the match heading for a draw.

The ongoing County Championship has seen some tremendous performances, especially from Asian players. Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is making headlines in his first County cricket season for Middlesex. In the first innings against Glamorgan, he castled Marnus Labuschagne to claim his first county wicket in style and then followed it up with another one on the very next ball. Though the bowler failed to clinch a hat-trick, he definitely made a statement in the first innings. He was not done though as he claimed another prized wicket in the second innings. The left-arm Pakistan fast bowler, who had claimed Labuschagne's wicket thrice in the three-match Test series against Australia at home last month, made sure he got the better of the batter in the second innings too.

Afridi got a delivery to rise uncomfortably from a short of good length spot which Labuschagne tried to fend away with a nonchalant leave. However, the pace on the delivery found the rear end of Marnus' willow and the batter was played-on for eight runs.
