Pakistan on Thursday announced its squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup. The Babar Azam-led side looks quite similar to the one that competed in the Asia Cup recently. There was no joy for veteran batter Shoaib Malik, whom a lot of ex-cricketers were backing for a recall after Pakistan's loss to Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup.

Some members of the Pakistan men's cricket team visited legendary football club AFC Ajax during their tour of the Netherlands. Players like Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq and Shadab Khan were among those who got a tour of the famous football club, that has won the Dutch Eredivisie a record 36 times in addition to four Champions League titles. While there, they also met legendary Dutch goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, who is currently the CEO of the club. Upon finding out that wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan was not part of the visiting entourage, van der Sar even joked that he could don the gloves behind the stumps.

"As a player it's a dream to become the No. 1 in all formats and, for that, you have to focus and put in hard work. "If you are to become No.1 in all three, you have to keep yourself fit and on track. There is back-to-back cricket and the gap is less. For that, you need to be extra fit. It's something I am preparing for. It's going well in white-ball and hopefully, I will be able to do well in Tests too," he added.

Pakistan's limited overs team vice-captain Shadab Khan took a splendid catch on Wednesday during the 1st ODI against West Indies in Multan. That catch broke a 154-run stand as Shamarh Brooks was sent back on 70. Brooks tried a sweep off Mohammad Nawaz, who took the pace off the delivery. The batter ended up mistiming the shot as the ball took the outside edge of the bat and flew towards the short third man region. While it appeared that the ball might just beat Shadab, the spin-bowling all-rounder flew towards his left to complete a one-handed catch.
