Rohit (102 batting off 160 balls) and Gill (101 batting off 142 balls) walked out in the middle in bright sunshine and milked the conditions to take India well past England's first innings total of 218 after resuming the innings at 135 for one. En route to their brilliant partnership, Rohit went on to equal Sachin Tendulkar's record of scoring the most number of centuries in international cricket after turning 30, for an Indian.

India ended the second day of the fifth Test against England in a domination position with a lead of 255 runs. It was after a long time that the top five batters scored a half-century each in an innings. While Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma scored tons, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan and Devdutt Paddikal scored half-centuries. Sarfaraz Khan continued his foray in Test cricket on a strong note as he scored his third half-century in five innings. The Mumbai batter was aggressive and hit some beautiful boundaries.

Yashasvi Jaiswal continues his red-hot form in Test cricket. The southpaw smashed 57 runs off 58 balls during India's first innings against England in Dharamshala to smash numerous records. Batting with great confidence, Jaiswal scored at a strike rate of 98.28. His blitzkrieg also included three sixes that he hit in only one over of England spinner Sohaib Bashir. After Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav shared 9 wickets among them to bundle out England for 218, Jaiswal and captain Rohit Sharma dominated the guests before the southpaw lost his wicket to Bashir.

India's spin veteran Ravichandran Ashwin on Thursday reached the milestone of 100 Test matches, with his appearance in the fifth and final game against England in Dharamshala. He was felicitated by India's head coach Rahul Dravid ahead of the game for achieveing the feat. Ashwin, who is one of the most successful all-rounders of the modern era, credited the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, besides thanking his family on playing playing the 100th Test of his career.

First Time In 92 Years: Ravichandran Ashwin Achieves Massive Feat In 100th Test

It was a massive occasion for veteran Indian cricket team spinner Ravichandran Ashwin as he played his 100th Test match as India took on England in the final game of the five-match series in Dharamsala on Thursday. Ashwin recently became the second India bowler ever to take 500 wickets in the longest format of the sport and as he took the field for his 100th Test, he made history by becoming the oldest India cricketer to achieve the milestone. Overall, Ashwin became the 14th India cricketer to play 100 Tests but the first one to do it after celebrating his 37th birthday. The others were - Sunil Gavaskar (125), Dilip Vengsarkar (116), Kapil Dev (131), Sachin Tendulkar (200), Anil Kumble (132), Rahul Dravid (164), Sourav Ganguly (113), VVS Laxman (134), Harbhajan Singh (103), Virender Sehwag (104), Ishant Sharma (105), Virat Kohli (113) and Cheteshwar Pujara (103).

The Indian Street Premier League (ISL) got off to great start on Wednesday with top stars attending the event. The organisers of the league are claiming it to be "India's pioneering tennis ball T10 cricket tournament to be played inside a stadium". The ISPL has a wide array of owners. Some of the celebrities who own a team in the league are Amitabh Bachchan (Mumbai), Akshay Kumar (Srinagar), Hrithik Roshan (Bengaluru), Suriya (Chennai), and Ram Charan (Hyderabad).
