Stuart Broad sent down the most expensive over in Test history as India piled on tail-end runs at Edgbaston.
Ravindra Jadeja continued from where he left on Day 1 in the fifth rescheduled Test against England at Edgbaston and scored only his third Test ton. He reached the three-figure mark in style with a boundary off Matthew Potts. While Rishabh Pant's ton on Friday was fiery, No. 7 Jadeja took his time to settle in and made a late flourish on Saturday. His ton was only the fourth instance of any No. 7 or lower order Indian Test batter scoring two centuries in a calendar year, with Kapil Dev (1986), MS Dhoni (2009) and Harbhajan Singh (2010) being the other members of the elite club. This is also the third instance in Indian cricket, when two left-handers scored tons in the same innings. The earlier instances were: Sadagopan Ramesh (110)-Sourav Ganguly (125) against New Zealand in Ahmedabad (1999) and Ganguly (239)-Yuvraj Singh (169) against Pakistan in in Bengaluru (2007).
Rishabh Pant was in destructive mood on Day 1 of the ongoing 5th England vs India Test at Edgbaston as he led India's counter-attack with a scintillating century. With India reeling at 98/5 at one point, Pant slammed 146 off just 111 deliveries as he put on a 222-run stand with Ravindra Jadeja to help take India to 338/7 at Stumps. During his stunning knock, Pant hit 19 fours and four sixes. In the process, he surpassed Sachin Tendulkar to become the youngest Indian to hit 100 sixes in international cricket.
Both India & England have fresh management but the spotlight will also be on some familiar foes in the rescheduled fifth Test starting todayUnlike the India-Australia contests, the India versus England rivalry has been devoid of personality clashes like Shane Warne vs Sachin Tendulkar or Glenn McGrath vs Tendulkar. There were only brief episodes in the early 2000s when Nasser Hussain and Sourav Ganguly clashed with their unique captaincy styles.
cricket star Danielle Wyatt was seen sharing a meal with fast-bowling all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar, the son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, at a restaurant in London. Wyatt on Tuesday took to her social media account to share a picture of Arjun Tendulkar. The post has now gone viral. "Good to see my little mate for a Nandos yesterday," Wyatt wrote as the caption.

The ongoing third Test between England and New Zealand witnessed a bizarre dismissal on Thursday. Kiwi batter Henry Nicholls came down the track to hit a half volley from Jack Leach for a four down the ground but his shot inadvertently went straight towards Daryl Mitchell at the non-strikers end, hit his bat and eventually went into the hands of mid-off fielder Alex Lees. While the entire England team erupted in joy with the lucky wicket, the unfortunate dismissal also gave netizens a good time.
At the other end, Yashasvi was leaving every outside off delivery with ease without replying to the sledges from the Uttar Pradesh bowlers and fielders. Watching Yashasvi going into the 'Pujara and Dravid mode' frustrated the UP bowlers. The left-hander got off the mark off the 54th delivery he faced when he guided Ankit Rajpoot towards square leg for a boundary. He was applauded by his teammates in the dressing room and he smiled and raised his bat. Yashasvi had a plan to stay in the middle for as long as possible and put valuable runs for the team on the board in the crucial clash. And the 20-year-old did it in style, plundering 181 runs off 372 balls, including 23 boundaries and 1 six. This also meant back to back centuries in both innings for Yashasvi. The Mumbai batsman became the ninth Mumbai batsman to score a century in both innings for Mumbai in a Ranji Trophy match. Yashasvi, who scored 100 in the first innings and 181 in the second, joined an elite Mumbai cricket list which has the likes of Vinod Kambli, Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and Wasim Jaffer on it.
