Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, emailed his thoughts on the former defender, who passed away at the age of the 83, saying: "It's just sad to hear of the passing of former Rangers great Ronnie MacKinnon, a superb, centre-half rock solid and dependable, formed what was that great half back line of Greig, MacKinnon and Baxter in a trophy laden golden era. They were unstoppable. Ronnie will always be fondly remembered by Gers fans who lived through those best of times. He was part of Rangers' greatest side."
