Rajasthan Royals Star Says He Will "Run Out Someone" At Non-Striker's End

India's Deepti Sharma recently ran England's Charlie Dean out at the non-striker's end during a women's ODI last month at the Lord's. Since then, there has been a lot of discussion regarding the mode of dismissal. On Friday, Australia pacer Mitchell Starc warned England captain Jos Buttler for backing up too early, during the third T20I in Canberra. Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Riyan Parag is the latest to join the debate. Parag took to Twitter and said that he going to run someone out at the non-striker's end, most likely during the next year's Indian Premier League season.

Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Ignored for India, Prithvi Shaw sizzles with 61-ball 134

The blazing knock came close on the heels of the batter expressing his disappointment at not being picked in India's ODI squad for the recent South Africa series at home. In the Group A match, Mumbai put up an imposing 230 for three after being asked to bat first. Shaw did the bulk of the scoring, striking 13 fours and as many as nine sixes at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

Watch: Riyan Parag Left Fuming After Run-Out Due To Mix-Up With Ravichandran Ashwin In IPL 2022 Qualifier 1

During the final over of Rajasthan Royals' innings against Gujarat Titans in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Qualifier 1 on Tuesday, there was high drama after a mix-up saw Riyan Parag run-out at the non-striker's end. Jos Buttler was run-out off the final delivery of RR's 20th over, bowled by Yash Dayal, but it was a no ball, so the new batter Ravichandran Ashwin was facing a free hit, with Riyan Parag at the other end. Dayal bowled a wide and Parag, wanting to take strike to maximise the free hit, sprinted down to the striker's end. Ashwin, however, did not leave his crease.

"Got Some Advice For You Young Man": Matthew Hayden Irked By Riyan Parag's Celebration After Taking Catch

Rajasthan Royals took a giant step towards securing a place in the playoffs by beating Lucknow Super Giants to leapfrog them into second place in the IPL 2022 points table. The win took RR to 16 points with one match left for the team to play. Yashasvi Jaiswal played a fine knock of 41 while Trent Boult led RR's charge with the ball. During LSG's chase, there was an incident which former Australia cricketer Matthew Hayden, who was commentating at the time, was not too pleased about.

One of the most balanced teams on paper, Rajasthan Royals have performed exceptionally well in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. In 12 games so far, RR have won seven games and sit third in the points table with 14 points. RR, however, have lost three of their last four games, and will look to seal a playoffs spot with some fine display in the last two games. Ahead of their next game against the Lucknow Super Giants, the RR players were seen having some fun, with Riyan Parag, Daryl Mitchell and James Neesham pulling off a prank on pacer Trent Boult.

IPL 2022: Rajasthan Royals Aim To Continue Winning Momentum vs Mumbai Indians

On a three-match winning streak, Rajasthan Royals have the momentum as well as source of inspiration when they face bottom-placed and out-of-reckoning Mumbai Indians in an Indian Premier League match here on Saturday. The Royals will be celebrating the extraordinary life of their lone IPL title-winning captain Shane Warne, who died last month in Thailand, during this game. A win would give a perfect tribute to the legendary Australian spinner under whose inspirational leadership, the Royals had won the 2008 title.

IPL 2022 - "Let The GOAT Do His Thing": Riyan Parag's Ultimate Praise For Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli's poor run of form continued as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) slumped to a 29-run defeat against Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Tuesday. The star batter, who had got out for golden ducks in his two matches before Tuesday, could score only 9 before losing his wicket to Prasidh Krishna. Riyan Parag, who took the catch to send Kohli packing, took to Twitter to show his support for the former India captain, saying that "the GOAT" didn't need any advice even during this slump in form.

"Great Players Go Through Phases Like This": Faf du Plessis On Virat Kohli's Lean Patch

Batting stalwart Virat Kohli has been horribly out of form in this Indian Premier League (IPL) season but he got the backing of his Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis, who on Tuesday said "great players go through phases like this". Kohli was promoted to the top of the order against Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday after scoring back-to-back ducks but that move also did not yield the desired result as the former India captain was out for nine. RCB lost the match by 29 runs.
