Pogačar’s main challenger Jonas Vingegaard couldn’t follow and Pogačar quickly made ground on Richard Carapaz before powering past him 200 meters before the summit.

Stellar season Pogacar secured a dominant win at the six-day Tour de Romandie last month, after strong performances in the one-day classics.
