Trust Virender Sehwag to always see the funny side of things. The former India opener tagged Ravichandran Ashwin in his latest tweet, congratulating the India off-spinner after MCC, the custodian of cricket laws, amended some laws of the game on Wednesday. One of the noted ones was its decision to move the law relating to run outs at non-striker's end from "unfair play" section besides completely banning the use of saliva to shine the ball in amendments to its 2022 code that will come into effect in October. Run outs at non-striker's end have often triggered heated debates on spirit of the game and several players like India's premier off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin have advocated for it as a fair mode of dismissal.

As the world mourned the shocking death of 52-year-old Warne in Thailand's Koh Samui, Jadeja, it seemed, is still trying to fathom the reality of the tragedy that has hit millions of cricket fans hard.

Warne played 55 matches for the Royals between 2008 and 2011 and was instrumental in grooming a host of young Indian cricketers who were part of the Royals' squad during that period. The legendary leg-spinner had a special liking for Ravindra Jadeja and Yusuf Pathan, both of whom had major roles to play in the initial success of the Royals in the IPL. Warne also served as the mentor of the Royals after he decided to hang his boots as a player.
