Novak Djokovic has split from long-term coach Marian Vajda. The 56-year-old Vajda had scaled back his role after Goran Ivanisevic was added to Djokovic's coaching staff for Wimbledon in 2019, accompanying his charge to fewer tournaments — but now comes the news of a clean break. Vajda did not attend the recent Dubai Tennis Championships nor accompany Djokovic to Melbourne for his ill-fated tilt at the Australian Open.
Rushil Khosla will lead the Indian contingent at the forthcoming Junior Davis Cup 2022 qualifying event, scheduled to take place in Malaysia from April 4-9. The 15-year-old Khosla, a trainee at the RoundGlass Tennis Academy in Chandigarh, is the highest-ranked player in India in the U-16 age category and third in the U-18 bracket. His current International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Ranking is 152.
