Remco Evenepoel (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl) admits the final climb of Stage 14 at La Vuelta was harder than he expected as the red jersey hopes he has had his bad day. Evenepoel was dropped by Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) and Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana-Qazaqstan) in the final four kilometres of Saturday’s summit finish, with the Slovenian gaining 52 seconds. Ad Roglic is now 1’49” behind Evenepoel going into Stage 15 which has another summit finish.
