Pakistan and Australia head into the third and final test in Lahore with the series locked and all to play for but the home side will feel they have the momentum after pulling off a brilliant save in Karachi.
A video of Pat Cummins went viral recently as he tried his hand at fixing the pitch at the National Stadium in Karachi during the second Test match between Pakistan and Australia. Now the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have posted a video of David Warner trying his hand with the hammer on Day 5. With Pakistan at 380 for four in their second innings, Warner could be seen hammering the footmarks. Taking to Twitter, the PCB also captioned the video as, "The Thor hammer made another cameo today."
Pakistan captain Babar Azam has rated his 196 in the second Test against Australia as "one of his best innings" which has helped his team draw the game from a precarious position. Pakistan in pursuit of a huge target of 506, ended on 443 for 7 with hundreds from Babar and Mohammed Rizwan.
Pat Cummins defended his decision not to enforce follow-on against Pakistan in the drawn second Test in Karachi on Wednesday. Australia racked up 556-9 before declaring their first innings and then skittled out Pakistan for 148 for a mammoth lead of 408 at Karachi's National Stadium. Instead of subjecting Pakistan to follow on, Cummins decided to bat on and Australia declared their second innings at 97-2 setting Pakistan a record victory target of 506.
