With Autodromo Vallelunga Piero Taruffi gearing up to host WTCR Race of Italy from July 22-24 here are some fast facts. *Vallelunga, located 40 kilometres north of the Italian capital Rome, staged its first race in 1951 and is named in honour of Piero Taruffi, the Mille Miglia road racer who was the track’s principal design engineer. WTCR Vila Real: Urrutia beats Ehrlacher to pole in Cyan Lynk & Co 1-2
The Uruguayan was the penultimate driver to run in the Q3 shootout, hitting the top with a time of 1m59.626s. Reigning double champion Ehrlacher ran last and was fastest of all in the first sector, only to drop time in the final two to miss out to his team-mate and title rival.

Michelisz does the WTCR maths: Nordschleife + Macau = Vila Real
Former King of WTCR Norbert Michelisz has been doing the maths ahead of WTCR Race of Portugal. The BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse driver calculated that Circuito Internacional de Vila Real is the sum total of the Nürburgring Nordscleife and the Circuita da Guia in Macau due to the intense challenge it presents.
