IPL 2022, DC vs RCB: Dinesh Karthik sets up big win for Royal Challengers Bangalore over Delhi Capitals

Dinesh Karthik is not finished yet. He has re-emerged as one of the premier finishers in this season of IPL. About to turn 37 in a couple of months, he is light on his feet as ever while moving in the crease, disturbing the line and lengths of bowlers and making a mockery of the death overs. Saturday night was another freak show which has become usual with Karthik around. Delhi Capitals were his latest prey as he went about pulling Royal Challengers Bangalore out of a hole at 92/5 in the 12th over and then clobbering the young bowling attack to all parts of the ground to score an unbeaten 66 off 34 balls. He put on an unbeaten sixth-wicket 97-run stand with Shahbaz Ahmed as RCB set Capitals a daunting 190-run target.

IPL 2022, DC vs RCB Live Score: RCB Look To Return To Winning Ways Against Delhi Capitals

IPL 2022,  Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Score Updates: Delhi Capitals (DC) face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match 27 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. DC got back to winning ways in their previous match after thrashing Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). RCB, on the other hand, saw their three-game winning run ended by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). DC have been pretty good with the ball, but will seek more consistency in the batting department. RCB, on the other hand, have leaked runs with the ball, and will look to work in that area. Mitchell Marsh has been training in the nets but it's not clear whether he'll play or not. RCB could also make a tweak or two as they look to improve on their death bowling. Harshal Patel could also make his comeback after missing the last game. (LIVE SCORECARD)

More All-Rounders You Have, Better It Is For Any Team In T20s: Shardul Thakur

When it comes to all-rounders, more the merrier, feels Delhi Capitals' Shardul Thakur, who feels that multi-skilled cricketers become key when specialists fail in one department. The Capitals have all-rounders in abundance including the likes of Mitchell Marsh, Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Mandeep Singh and Thakur himself. "We have great depth in our batting. IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals' coach Ponting expects Nortje, Warner boost for Lucknow game

Anrich Nortje and Australia opener David Warner will be available for Delhi Capitals' next match in the Indian Premier League (IPL), coach Ricky Ponting said after the team's defeat by Gujarat Titans on Saturday. Nortje has not played since last year's Twenty20 World Cup after being sidelined with a back and hip injury. Ponting said the 28-year-old has resumed bowling in the nets and would play Thursday's match against IPL debutants Lucknow Super Giants in Mumbai. "I think he has to get through another maybe four or five-over spell at 100 percent capacity and then I think if he gets clearance from Cricket South Africa, he should be right to go," Ponting said. "We have got a few more days before our next game, so hopefully he is available for selection for that one."
