Tom Lawrence has implored Rangers to see off PSV and grant him a second Champions League chance. The Welshman was part of the team that dumped the Dutchmen in last year’s playoff shootout. But he was denied his moment among the European elite by an injury sustained the very next match which ultimately ended up wrecking his debut season in Glasgow. The 29-year-old finally brought his 12-month layoff nightmare to and on Saturday, though, as he climbed off the bench late on during Rangers ’ 2-0 win over Ross County. However, he’ll be back on a watching brief on Wednesday night as Gers return to Eindhoven for the second-leg having been left out of Michael Beale ’s Uefa squad. The tie is finely poised at 2-2 but Lawrence is backing his team-mates to put on a repeat show of last year’s famous win. He said: “We play for Rangers and we want to win every game. That should be our thoughts first and foremost.
