Lando Norris has signed a new contract with the McLaren team that will take him through to the end of the 2025 season in Formula 1.

Está firmado, es oficial: Lando Norris renueva con McLaren hasta 2025 incluido. En tiempo de presentaciones, es noticia que el joven británico, de 22 años, se convierte así en el piloto con el contrato más largo de la parrilla actual. Supera a Charles Leclerc y Esteban Ocon, atados por Ferrari y Alpine, respectivamente, hasta 2024; pero también al campeón Max Verstappen (Red Bull, 2023) o Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes, 2023). Es toda una declaración de intenciones de McLaren, que elige a Norris como su referencia a corto, medio y largo plazo. Es una renovación de «fe», la palabra que más utilizó el británico en una charla con los medios este miércoles: «Es por la confianza mutua a largo plazo. Un beneficio para mí y también para el equipo». Antes tenía un acuerdo hasta 2023, así que la extensión es en realidad de dos años.
