Live Score Updates From Qualifier 1 of IPL 2022 between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals: Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals will be squaring off against each other in Qualifier 1 of the ongoing IPL 2022 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat had finished the league stage at the top of the table while Rajasthan followed closely behind at second. It would be interesting to see what combinations both teams field on the park and all eyes would be on Kolkata's weather as it has rained in small spells in the city. If the match is not possible because of rain, then the winner would be decided through a Super Over and if there is no time for even that, then Gujarat would go directly to the winner on the basis of finishing higher in the points table. During Virat Kohli's match-winning 73 against Gujarat Titans, the Royal Challengers Bangalore star was involved in a riveting contest with Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan. While teams have targeted the former India captain with spin, on Thursday, he was in imperious form against the star leggie. Kohli first hit him for a boundary in the fourth over and then brought up his half-century with a six off Rashid in the 10th over. Kohli again hit him for a six off the second delivery of the 17th over. However, the Gujarat Titans star finally got the better off him two balls later.
Hardik Pandya rued that technology did not come to their rescue when Matthew Wade was adjudged LBW in a controversial call but said overall on most occasions it has helped in taking right decisions. Wade's dismissal off Glenn Maxwell triggered a debate during GT's match against Royal Challengers Bangalore with UltraEdge not showing any spike although it seemed that the ball had deflected when it passed the bat. "I think it was slightly there (spike) in the ultra-edge. From the big screen, it was not visible. Because you can't fault, if technology is not helping, then I don't know who's going to help," Hardik said at the post-match press conference.

Gujarat Titans batter Matthew Wade was reprimanded for breaching the IPL code of conduct during their game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. "Mr. Wade admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction," the IPL said in a statement. "For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding," it added. While the statement did not give any reason for the breach, Wade was livid after being adjudged LBW, in what was a controversial call and attracted empathy from Virat Kohli.
