Hosts Sri Lanka will look to seal the series when they square off against Australia in the 4th ODI at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Pathum Nissanka scored a brilliant maiden ODI century on Sunday as Sri Lanka stunned Australia to go 2-1 up in the third one-day international. Set a tricky 292 to win after a Travis Head 70, the hosts won comfortably with nine balls to spare in Colombo, in their second straight victory in the five-match series. Glenn Maxwell bowled Niroshan Dickwella for 25 but helped by the dew, Nissanka and Kusal Mendis ground down the injury-depleted Australian attack of Josh Hazlewood, Jhye Richardson and Matthew Kuhnemann.

Sri Lanka levelled the five-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia at 1-1 after a thrilling 26-run win (DLS method) in the second match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Sri Lankan bowlers came to the party in the rain-curtailed match to register a memorable win for the team. Chasing a rain-revised target of 216 in 43 overs, Australia suffered a batting collapse to be bowled out for 189 in 37.1 overs as Sri Lanka bounced back from their loss in the first ODI.

Australia's injury woes in Sri Lanka deepened Wednesday with all-rounder Marcus Stoinis ruled out of the rest of the ODI series and spinner Ashton Agar also joining the wounded list. Fast bowler Kane Richardson has already flown home with a hamstring problem and Mitchell Starc, Sean Abbott and Mitchell Marsh are also out of action and Cameron Green not fit enough to bowl. Stoinis strained his side smashing 44 off 31 in Tuesday's two-wicket win in Pallekele and Cricket Australia said Wednesday that the 32-year-old will play no further part in the five-match series.
