LONDON : Manchester City's relentless pursuit of the Premier League title continued with a thumping 4-0 win at Norwich City but Manchester United's troubles continued as a 1-1 draw with Southampton further damaged their top-four hopes on Saturday.

Manchester United's frustrating season continued when they were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday. United started brightly, creating several early openings before Jadon Sancho got on the end of Marcus Rashford's low cross to fire the hosts in front in the 21st minute -- the England forward's first goal at Old Trafford. However, United, just as they did against Burnley in midweek, dropped off after scoring and again conceded early in the second half, when Scotland international Che Adams slotted home in the 48th minute to equalise.

Manchester United blew a first half lead for the third consecutive game as Che Adams' strike earned Southampton a deserved 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Saturday. Jadon Sancho's first Premier League goal at home rewarded a bright start from Ralf Rangnick's men. Yet the Red Devils again failed to build on their lead and were punished when Adams slotted in off the inside of the post two minutes into the second half. A point edges United level on points with fourth-placed West Ham. But Arsenal are just a point behind with two games in hand, while Tottenham have played three fewer games and are four points back.
