Under Rana's personal guidance, Manu, who was struggling after the Tokyo Games, made a remarkable comeback and became the first Indian to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics since Independence.

Jonathan, whose shooting career took wings when he won gold in the CBSE South Zone Rifle Shooting Competition in 2022 while studying in eighth standard, shot a superb 240.7 for Karnataka in the final to overcame the challenge of Services veterans Ravinder Singh (silver, 240.3) and Gurpreet Singh (bronze, 220.1) and Sarabjot, who won a bronze in the Paris Olympics' 10m air pistol mixed team event with Manu Bhaker last year.

Double-Olympic Medallist Manu Bhaker's Grandmother, Uncle Die In Road Accident

Paris Olympic medallist shooter Manu Bhaker's maternal grandmother and maternal uncle died in a road accident in Bhiwani, Haryana on Sunday, police said. The accident occurred on Mahendragarh bypass road in Charkhi Dadri area when a car hit their scooty, officials said. The two died on the spot and the car driver fled from the spot after the accident, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Suresh Kumar said. He said that the victims have been identified as Manu Bhaker's grandmother Savitri Devi (70) and maternal uncle Yudhveer (50), who worked as a driver in Haryana roadways.

On Winning Arjuna Award, Paralympics Gold Medalist Navdeep Singh Makes Special Dedication

After being felicitated with the prestigious Arjuna Award, Paralympic gold medalist Navdeep Singh on Friday dedicated the award to his family and coach. Navdeep was awarded the Arjuna Award for outstanding performance in Sports and Games 2024 at the Rashtrapati Bhawan by President Droupadi Murmu on Friday. Speaking to ANI, Navdeep Singh said that he is feeling very happy after receiving the award from President Murmu.
