"Difficult Conversations': KL Rahul's Blunt Verdict On LSG's Loss Against Kolkata Knight Riders

Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul on Sunday said panic has not set within his team after two successive defeats, but stressed on the need to have some tough conversations within the group. LSG went down by eight wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders here, as the side is now placed fifth on the points table with six points from as many matches. "Not panicking, but you can't put your feet up and hope results will go your way. We have to figure out where you are going wrong. We will have a few difficult conversations," said Rahul during the post-match presentation.

'Happy When People Expect Me To Win Matches': LSG Pacer Yash Thakur After Victory vs GT

Unlike many, Yash Thakur quite likes the burden of expectations. So, when his Lucknow Super Giants skipper K L Rahul saw a match-winner in him after Mayank Yadav's injury breakdown, the young pacer got the impetus he needed to fetch his maiden five-wicket haul in the IPL. The 25-year-old from Vidarbha had the spotlight firmly planted on him after pace spearhead Yadav suffered a side strain and left the field mid-match against Gujarat Titans here on Sunday night. Thakur returned figures of 5/30, including the wicket of GT captain Shubman Gill.

KL Rahul Gives Blunt Verdict On IPL's 'Two Bouncers' Rule After Loss vs Rajasthan Royals

Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul didn't want to read too much into his team's 20-run defeat at the hands of Rajasthan Royals in their opening IPL game but admitted that none of the teams have been able to crack the Powerplay code in the first week so far. Two bouncer per over rule has been introduced in IPL from this season and LSG were bounced out in the first six overs of their chase of 194, reducing them to 47 for 3. Rajasthan Royals were a shade better at 54 for 2 in their first six overs. Both Devdutt Padikkal and Rahul needed to undergo concussion protocols after being hit on the helmet by Trent Boult. "It is just the first game and I am not going to make too much out of it or over-analyse," Rahul said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
