Celtic might have flashed a bit of leg at Rangers on Saturday.
KEITH JACKSON: It'll be a toss of the coin job at Hampden but Celtic have an edge over their rivals in terms of quality. The injury to Reo Hatate - and doubts over the fitness of Jota - will be a huge concern for Ange Postecoglou. But Celtic should have enough in reserve to get the job done.
If they ever start handing out trophies for self harming in Scottish football someone at Tynecastle had better order in a bigger cabinet.
KEITH JACKSON: All the candidates are in Celtic’s dressing room. Kyogo outstanding contribution can be measured in goals, Jota adds flair and artistry, Cameron Carter-Vickers is a rock at the back. But Callum McGregor knits this team together from the middle of the pitch. He gets my vote.
KEITH JACKSON: Yes. Unfortunately, Kevin Clancy simply isn't up to the job. But when his VAR is even less competent then what chance does the guy have? The decision to chalk off the Alfredo Morelos 'goal' reflects horribly on our officials. DAVID McCARTHY: Absolutely. Morelos' goal should have stood and the first goal in these games are almost always crucial. MICHAEL GANNON : Rangers are entitled to feel hard done by. The ruled out goal was harsh but the ref’s view made it understandable. They had a decent case for a penalty but there was no sign of handball for the second. FRASER WILSON: Most weeks some club or other will contact the SFA over a refereeing decision or two. What good it does I’m not sure. The Morelos disallowed goal was harsh as both players had hands on each other. But I can’t see anything wrong with Celtic’s second goal.
It's getting difficult not to feel some sympathy for Michael Beale, even if the Londoner wouldn’t wish to be patronised or viewed as some sort of hard luck story.
Keith Jackson: It’s not even a question. If Rangers can land this guy for £5m they’ll pull off a heist on Bayern Munich. Tillman is top notch.
The kid can play alright. As a matter of fact, Rangers might just have a truly exceptional burgeoning talent on their hands in the shape of Malik Tillman.
