Rajasthan Royals will look to get back to winning ways as they take on Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 47 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. RR have been in excellent form this season, but their winning run was halted by Mumbai Indians. However, RR have largely relied on their talismans Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal, who are leading the Orange and Purple Cap charts, respectively. While their bowling has been exceptional this season, RR have been inconsistent with the bat when Buttler has not fired. South Africa batter Rassie van der Dussen is likely to get another chance in the team.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 46, winning by 13 runs in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. A four-wicket haul by Mukesh Choudhary helped CSK restrict SRH to 189 for six in 20 overs, in their chase of 203 runs. Initially, CSK posted 202 for two in 20 overs with Ruturaj Gaikwad smacking 99 runs off 57 balls. Meanwhile, Devon Conway played an unbeaten knock of 85 runs off 55 balls. Also, T Natarajan took two wickets for SRH.
KL Rahul and Jos Buttler are setting this IPL—bat deep into the innings. On Sunday afternoon, Lucknow Super Giants captain Rahul rolled out another masterclass of anchoring and and pacing the innings as his side set a formidable target of 196 for Delhi Capitals. Rahul’s immaculately paced 51-ball 77 triumphed Capitals’ boom-and-burst batting method as LSG registered a tight six-run win at the Wankhede Stadium. For most part of the chase, it seemed it was the Capitals who were acing the power hitting but Rahul and Deepak Hooda’s clean and steady second-wicket partnership of 95 off 61 balls had a greater impact on the game.
Kolkata Knight Riders will look to end their five-match winless run when they face Rajasthan Royals in Match 47 of IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium. After starting the season on a high note, KKR's form has massively dipped and will look to get back to winnings ways. RR, on the other hand, eye a spot in the playoffs, but were narrowly beaten by Mumbai Indians in the previous match. KKR are likely to bring back Pat Cummins, who apart from his bowling prowess will add fire power to their inconsistent batting line-up. RR could also rope in Rassie van der Dussen back in the playing XI.
Guilty of making too many changes at the top, Kolkata Knight Riders would like to find a winning combination against Rajasthan Royals and snap their five-match losing streak in the IPL on Monday. The form of Venkatesh Iyer, who is experiencing second season blues, has a lot to do with the changes KKR have been forced to make regularly at the top of the order.
Rohit Sharma would any day take a Mumbai Indians' (MI) victory as a birthday present and more so when the team finally performed to its potential after eight straight defeats. MI recorded their first win of the season beating Rajasthan Royals by five wickets as they put up their best show of the current edition on a Saturday night. "I'd definitely take it," Rohit said when asked if he ever thought this could be his birthday present.
Suryakumar Yadav defied the high-flying bowling battery of Rajasthan Royals to help Mumbai Indians score a five-wicket victory at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday night. Yadav played a crucial innings of 51 off 39 balls while his teammate Tilak Verma churned out 35 off 30. Things looked tight after the duo were dismissed in the 16th over as Royals bowlers dragged it to the last over where pacer Kuldeep Sen had to defend four runs. Royals’ hopes were raised after the youngster dismissed Kieron Pollard on the first delivery, but Daniel Sams sealed the match with a six over deep mid-wicket.
