Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Mohsin Naqvi "Owns Plane, Should've...": Big Claim Amid CT 2025 Final Controversy

If Pakistan cricket team's group stage exit from the Champions Trophy 2025 was not enough, another tricky development awaited them after the final of the marquee ICC event in Dubai. The tournament, which was hosted by Pakistan, saw the final move out of the country because India qualified for it. It was a pre-Champions Trophy arrangement which was agreed by all cricket boards that India will not travel to Pakistan and will play all its matches in Dubai. The real problem started after former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar and other stars pointed out that there was no representation from the Pakistan Cricket Board at the Champions Trophy 2025 final presentation.

Pakistan Will Be Remembered As "Darzi": Anchor Mocks Panellist Over India's CT 'Blazer' Claim

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been at loggerheads with the International Cricket Council (ICC) for ignoring their representative at the closing ceremony of the Champions Trophy in Dubai on Sunday. As India won the Champions Trophy by beating New Zealand in the final, BCCI president Roger Binny, secretary Devajit Saikia and ICC chairman Jay Shah were present during the ceremony. However, no one from the PCB was called out during the prize distribution ceremony. While PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi had informed the ICC over his absence, chief operating officer and tournament director Sumair Ahmed had travelled to Dubai for the final.

PCB Gets Blunt 'Protocol' Reminder By ICC Over Champions Trophy Ceremony Row: Report

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is unlikely to receive any "formal clarification" from the ICC on the perceived snub during the closing ceremony of the Champions Trophy in Dubai. India beat New Zealand by four wickets in the title clash on Sunday to win the tournament for the third time. The controversy erupted when Sumair Ahmed, who is chief operating officer of the PCB and was the tournament director of the Champions Trophy, was not invited on stage for the final presentation. "We have filed a formal complaint with the ICC as what happened is unacceptable to us," a PCB official said on Tuesday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is still waiting for a "formal clarification" from the ICC on the issue of not have their representative on stage for the closing ceremony of the Champions Trophy in Dubai. India beat New Zealand by four wickets in the title clash on Sunday to win the tournament for the third time. "We have filed a formal complaint with the ICC as what happened is unacceptable to us," a PCB official said on Tuesday. Wasim Akram Loses It On Live Show Over Champions Trophy Ceremony Row

The cricketing fraternity in Pakistan was left scratching its heads upon its failure to spot a single Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official at the presentation ceremony after the conclusion of the ICC Champions Trophy final between India and Australia. ICC chairman Jay Shah could be seen on the stage, handing the trophy to the winning captain Rohit Sharma and distributing medals to all players. But, none of the PCB officials became part of the proceedings on the stage at any point in time despite Pakistan being the official hosts for the tournament.
