India clinched the three-match T20 series against New Zealand 1-0 after the third and final game ended in a tie via Duckworth-Lewis method following rain interruption on Tuesday. India bowlers produced a brilliant show to bowl out New Zealand for 160 after the hosts decided to bat. Chasing the total, skipper Hardik Pandya hit an unbeaten 18-ball 30 as India were 75 for four in 9 overs when rain stopped play. With incessant rain lashing the McLean Park, the match couldn't be resumed.

India's cricket board has sacked its entire selection committee, led by former fast bowler Chetan Sharma, and put out the call for replacements after the team's humiliating T20 World Cup exit.
India's stopgap 20-overs captain, Hardik Pandya, has asked his team mates to make the most of the limited-overs series against New Zealand to cement their position in the side with two World Cups looming in the next two years.
Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has said that he wants to be exceptional in the fielding department of the game and his goal for the remainder of the year is to take a catch that would go down as one of his best. "God has been kind to me, my fitness has gone up. I am able to spend a lot of time on my fielding with our coach (T Dillip). I was always natural as a fielder, but I want to be exceptional. Now, I am able to spend some time on my skills and get those difficult catches. My goal this year is to grab a catch that could go down as one of my best ever," said Pandya in a video posted by BCCI.
The T20 World Cup is underway in Australia and currently, initial group stage is being played from which four sides will qualify for the Super-12 stage. All eyes are on October 23 when India will take on Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Former India batter Suresh Raina spoke to NDTV in an exclusive interview where he talked about India's chances at the World Cup and how he thinks if India are able to get the better of Pakistan, then they will go on to lift the World Cup.
The Indian cricket team was dealt a few hefty blows heading into the T20 World Cup 2022, as star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and marquee pacer Jasprit Bumrah were ruled out of the tournament due to injuries. Without Bumrah, India's pace attack looks unconvincing. Even former Pakistan cricketer Aaqib Javed doesn't see India as one of the favourites going into the mega event but is of the opinion that Hardik Pandya in particular is someone who can change the course of the game on his own.
