Inter Milan moved to the top of the Serie A standings after they earned a 3-1 victory over AS Roma on Saturday. With rivals AC Milan not in action until Sunday against Lazio, Inter took full advantage to move to the Serie A summit after beating a Roma side who had gone 12 games unbeaten in the Italian top flight before their trip to the San Siro. Flying full-back Denzel Dumfries fired his side into the lead on the half-hour mark, before a fine solo effort from Marcelo Brozovic double the dominant hosts' advantage five minutes before the break.
Inter Milan ran out comfortable 3-1 winners over Roma in a match which could have a big bearing on the top positions in Serie A. After an uneventful first half-hour, Inter took the lead when Hakan Calhanoglu slid a ball through bisecting the Roma high line, picking out Denzel Dumfries' diagonal run and the Dutch wing-back then slotted past Rui Patricio.
Goals from Marcelo Brozovic, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez gave Inter Milan a one-point advantage at the top of Serie A as they earned a 3-1 victory against Spezia Calcio at the Stadio Alberto Picco. Going into the match, Inter were two points behind rivals AC Milan with a game in hand. The visitors knew that a win was needed if they wanted any chance of defending their Scudetto.

Inter Milan a crucial 1-0 win at Juventus on Sunday, dragging Simone Inzaghi's side back into the Serie A title race. Juve wasted a host of chances in the opening period, with veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini guilty of missing the most glaring of them, and their profligacy proved costly as Inter earned a penalty in first-half stoppage time following a VAR review. The home side were furious at the awarding of the spot kick, but felt justice was done when Wojciech Szczesny saved Hakan Calhanoglu's penalty, only for the referee to order a retake, which the Turkish midfielder converted to give Inter the lead. The goal did not change the balance of play, however, as Paulo Dybala and Dusan Vlahovic both went close to an equaliser in the second half, before Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic tipped Denis Zakaria's brilliant strike onto the post. It remained one-way traffic until the final whistle, but Juve, who had 23 shots at goal to Inter's five, could not make the pressure pay, as the visitors held on to seal all three points.
