Jos Buttler was run-out off the final delivery of RR's 20th over, bowled by Yash Dayal, but it was a no ball, so the new batter Ravichandran Ashwin was facing a free hit, with Riyan Parag at the other end. Dayal bowled a wide and Parag, wanting to take strike to maximise the free hit, sprinted down to the striker's end. Ashwin, however, did not leave his crease.
David Miller aced the finisher's role yet again as the South African helped Gujarat Titans defeat Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Qualifier 1 on Tuesday. His unbeaten 68 off 38 balls was crucial in GT winning by seven wickets and becoming the first team to enter the final. Miller's innings included three fours and five sixes. Out of those five, three sixes were hit in the 20th over off RR pacer Prasidh Krishna. With GT needing 16 runs off the last six balls, Miller hit three consecutive sixes to take his team home.

On Tuesday, in the Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans, the Rajasthan Royals opener scored 89 off just 56 balls to help his team reach 188/6 in 20 overs at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He hit 12 fours and two sixes en route to complete 700 runs in the ongoing edition of the IPL. In 15 matches, he has scored 718 runs so far. He is the sixth batter to score over 700 run in a single edition of the IPL.
