PARIS :The number of people set to attend the opening ceremony of this year's Olympics has been estimated at about 300,000, French Interior minister Gerald Darmanin said on Wednesday, around half as many as were previously expected.

European football's governing body Uefa have said the Champions League quarter-final ties will go ahead as scheduled amid an ISIS terror threat.
Gerald Darmanin said the jihadist group had threatened all the quarter-final matches on Tuesday and Wednesday, not just PSG's first leg clash with Barcelona at the Parc des Princes.
