Everton will be sweating on Richarlison, their match-winner against Chelsea, being fit to spearhead the attack again in next Sunday’s trip to Leicester City. The Brazilian pounced on Cesar Azpilicueta’s ponderous possession to nick the ball off the visiting captain, play a quick one-two with Demarai Gray and fire past Edouard Mendy for the only goal of the game.
As good as the performance was against Chelsea and as massively important as the result was, it’s just one game ticked off and now Everton must finally do the business away from Goodison Park with back-to-back away matches against Leicester City and Watford. The elephant in the room this season is our away for which has been terrible.

LONDON: Everton kept alive their hopes of Premier League survival by beating Chelsea 1-0 on Sunday as Tottenham leapfrogged London rivals Arsenal into the top four with a thumping win against Leicester. The result at a raucous Goodison Park means Frank Lampard’s side are just two points from safety with five games to play — and will leave Leeds and Burnley sweating. After a goalless first half in which Everton had the better of the play, the hosts made the crucial breakthrough just after the restart.
Everton ‘would be foolish’ to offer a new Goodison Park contract to Allan and the defensive midfielder is expected to seal his departure in the summer, according to Daily Star journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Unlike predecessor Rafael Benitez, Frank Lampard ‘gets Everton’ and it’s best for both him and the club if he stays on as manager next season regardless of what division they are in. As their all-time leading goalscorer and as Football.London’s chief Chelsea correspondent Adam Newson told the ECHO before last weekend’s fixture, as someone widely-regarded as being their best-ever player, Lampard will always, quite rightly, be a true legend at Stamford Bridge but that was his past and the Blues of Merseyside are now very much his present and hopefully future too.
