Chicago have won the NHL draft lottery and the right to select Connor Bedard with the first pick, parlaying one of their worst seasons in decades into a potentially franchise-altering player.
The Chicago Blackhawks won the NHL draft lottery on Monday night, earning the right to draft phenom Connor Bedard.
The 2023 NHL draft lottery is scheduled for May 8. That's when we'll find out which team has earned the right, perhaps through self-immolation or blind luck, to draft Connor Bedard, the 17-year-old Regina Pats center who is expected to be no less than a franchise savior.
The 2023 NHL draft is coming to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Round 1 will be held June 28, and Rounds 2-7 will take place June 29. The event will be broadcast on ESPN networks, and it promises to be an exhilarating experience for prospects and their families, fans and all 32 teams.
The 2023 NHL draft class includes a number of great players, led by Regina Pats center Connor Bedard. Many believe he will quickly alter the path of whichever team drafts him No. 1 overall this summer.
