Carlos Sainz was clearly angry with Daniel Ricciardo after the McLaren driver ended his Emilia Romagna Grand Prix early by pushing him into the gravel trap on the very first corner. Sainz was in a good position to challenge for a podium at the least after starting the race in fourth.

El madrileño salía cuarto en el GP de Emilia Romaña, la arrancada de los Ferrari no fue especialmente buena y a Carlos le superaron los dos McLaren. Llegó emparejado con Ricciardo a Tamburello y el australiano, ya dentro de la curva, le tocó y le hizo trompear. El F1-75 quedó atrapado en la grava, otra vez, exactamente como sucedió en Melbourne a las primeras de cambio. Aunque con una diferencia importante: esta vez Sainz no tuvo ninguna culpa y el incidente no es achacable al español. La FIA no sancionó a Ricciardo porque lo consideró incidente de carrera.
