India and Australia will take on each other in the WTC final at The Oval from June 7 onwards. This will be India's second straight successive final in the tournament after 2021. "What the Aussies think of Virat Kohli #WTC23 #cricket #cricketreels," said an Instagram post from ICC. Australian skipper Pat Cummins described Virat as "Good player. Always up for a fight." Star batter Steve Smith, who is also part of the 'Fab Four' batting stars of the modern era along with Virat, Kane Williamson and Joe Root, described the batter as "Superstar".

If I was an Indian selector, I certainly go with the more dynamic wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan, he also adds that bit of swagger to the batting line up and in the fielding unit as well." The spinners could play a role at The Oval as the game progresses and that is why Hayden said India must play both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood has been included in the 15-member squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against India beginning at The Oval on June 7. The 32-year-old had flown back home from the Indian Premier League before his side Royal Challangers Bangalore's must-win game against Gujarat Titans due to a side soreness. He has, however, been included in the squad alongside fellow pacers, Test skipper Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland.

Gujarat Titans once again showed their dominance in the game as they thrashed Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2023 on Friday and entered the summit clash of the tournament. The defending champions hammered the Rohit Sharma-led side by 62 runs in a high-scoring match, courtesy of the blistering 129-run knock from Shubman Gill. Shubman Gill played a knock for the ages as Gujarat Titans hammered Mumbai Indians by 62 runs to reach the final of the Indian Premier League for the second time in as many seasons. Gill led GT's charge with a 60-ball 129, smashing seven fours and 10 sixes to take his team to a mammoth total of 233/3 in IPL 2023 Qualifier 2. Courtesy of his knock, the 23-year-old became the leading batsman this season with 851 runs, surpassing Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Faf du Plessis (730), before he reached his IPL best and the top score of this season.
