'What am I doing here?’ - Alex Noren reflects on decision to walk out on chance to play at Open Championship
Alex Noren has reflected on his decision to walk away from the chance to play at the Open. The Swede was first reserve for the Open at St Andrews, but left two days before the event and jetted over the Atlantic to play in the Barracuda Championship. Ad Justin Rose’s withdrawal on the morning of the Open due to a back injury would have handed Noren a place in the field, but he was in America preparing to tee it up in California.
