MUMBAI: Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson said the team will take "a lot of learning" from their three-run win over Mumbai Indians on Tuesday (May 17) as they ended a five-match losing streak to stay alive in the IPL.

The 16-member contingent will be led by Temba Bavuma as South Africa make a return to international T20 cricket for the first time since the ICC T20 World Cup in late 2021. The 21-year-old Stubbs, who impressed in the past season while playing for the Gbets Warriors in the Cricket South Africa (CSA) T20 Challenge, scored 293 runs in seven innings, at an average of 48.83 and a strike rate of 183.12, including 23 sixes.

Skipper Williamson is enduring a wretched run in this season and the Kiwi has collected just 208 runs from 12 games at an average of 18.92. He needs to find his mojo. Head coach Tom Moody defended the move to open with an out-of-form Williamson and the New Zealander will need to prove his coach right.
