The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced three changes to India's squad for the 5-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. The trio of Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma and Harshit Rana have been added to the roster for the first two matches, as replacements for Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who are still in Barbados.

Playing in just his second T20I for India, young opening batter Abhishek Sharma slammed his maiden century in the second match of a five-game series against Zimbabwe in Harare on Sunday. After completing his half-century in 33 balls, Abhishek took just 13 more deliveries to reach triple figures. He smashed seven fours and eight sixes at a strike rate of 212, but got out on the very next ball after completing his century. Abhishek, who was dismissed for a duck on his debut, became the fastest Indian batter, in terms of innings, to score a century for India in T20I cricket.
Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad produced high-quality knocks before the bowlers did their part as India outplayed Zimbabwe by 23 runs in the third T20 in Harare on Wednesday. Gill (66 off 49), Yashasvi Jaiswal (36 off 27) and Gaikwad (49 off 28) propelled India to 182 for four against Zimbabwe after the visitors opted to bat on a fresh pitch. Zimbabwe were never really in the run chase despite an entertaining effort from number four Dion Myers (65 not out 49), ending at 159 for six in their stipulated 20 overs.
