Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has announced free entry for spectators to the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo for the upcoming two-match Test series against Afghanistan, starting with the Boxing Day game on Thursday. In a statement, ZC said the decision comes in the wake of its efforts to celebrate the country's first Boxing Day Test at home in 28 years. It is followed by Zimbabwe's inaugural New Year's Test, scheduled for January 2-6, 2025.

The program titled "Strike Force" aims to unearth hidden talent from all corners of Pakistan where T20 remains a popular format. An official of the PCB said that Razzaq has been given the task of initially spotting 50 players and shortlisting them so that some of them can go on to play for Pakistan.

Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan and South Africa wicket-keeper batter Heinrich Klaasen had a heated argument on the field during the second ODI between the two sides at Cape Town on Thursday. Though there isn't a confirmation on the matter of the argument, it has been claimed that the South Africa star wasn't happy with the condition of the ball being used. Rizwan, however, was in no mood to pay heed to Klaasen's complaints and suggested he should continue playing. The clash went on for a while, prompting other players and the umpires to intervene too.

Afghanistan Pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi Fined For Showing Dissent At Umpire's Decision

Afghanistan left-arm pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee for showing dissent at an umpire's decision during the second ODI of the three-match series against Zimbabwe in Harare. Farooqi was penalised for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct. The violation falls under Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which addresses "showing dissent at an umpire's decision during an international match." The incident occurred in the fifth over of Zimbabwe's innings on Thursday when Farooqi showed dissent after an LBW appeal against Craig Ervine was turned down.
