El checo, como el resto de los integrantes. se abrió y no pudo seguir el ritmo, al que solo acompañaron Roglic y Van Aert. Los tres se iban sin nadie a rueda hacia la victoria y el francés fue el que se llevó el 'premio' de la victoria. Una especie de respuesta, desde la distancia, del Jumbo de Roglic al UAE de Pogacar, que un día antes deslumbró con su triunfo en la Strade Bianche.
