CSK are four wickets down after being put on to bat first by KKR captain Shreyas Iyer. Varun Chakravarthy got the better of Robin Uthappa, after Umesh Yadav had dismissed both the CSK openers in the powerplay. Uthappa was looking lively before Chakaravarthy halted his progress. Earlier, KKR had won the toss and elected to bowl against CSK. KKR named three overseas players -- Sam Billings, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine -- in their playing XI while CSK pick four overseas players -- Devon Conway, Mitchell Santner, Dwayne Bravo, and Adam Milne. Ahead of the toss, KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer received his debut cap, alongside fellow newcomers Ajinkya Rahane and Billings. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja will lead CSK this season after MS Dhoni stepped down from his role earlier this week.
