Pathum Nissanka Ton Helps Sri Lanka Level Bangladesh Series

Opener Pathum Nissanka struck 114 off 113 balls to steer Sri Lanka to a three-wicket victory over Bangladesh and level their three-match ODI series in Chittagong on Friday. Sri Lanka were teetering on 43-3 before Nissanka finally found a worthy partner in Charith Asalanka, who scored 91.  The pair put on 185 in their fourth-wicket partnership to guide the tourists to 287-7 in the 48th over, after Wanindu Hasaranga's 4-45 helped restrict Bangladesh. Their stand was broken soon after Nissanka hit his sixth ODI century, when Mehidy Hasan forced him to hoist a catch to Liton Das at deep-midwicket.  Asalanka departed the next over when he nicked through to the 'keeper from Taskin Ahmed. Dunith Wellalage and Hasaranga kept their composure to put on 34 runs for the seventh wicket and edge Sri Lanka closer.

Pakistan To Host ODI Tri-Series After 20 Years Ahead Of Champions Trophy 2025

Pakistan's Cricket Board said on Friday it will host South Africa and New Zealand in a one-day international tri-series, the country's first tournament involving three nations after a gap of 20 years. The series was greenlit on the sidelines of an International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting in Dubai, according to Pakistan's board. International cricket only fully returned to Pakistan in 2020, following attacks on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009.  Pakistan was stripped of its right to co-host the World Cup two years later, with security concerns lingering in the aftermath of those attacks.

Rishabh Pant Sledges England Legend Over Focusing On Social Media - Video Is Viral

Indian cricket team wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant is well known for his sharp retorts on the pitch and he provided an example of that during a recent interaction with Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist. In an episode of the Club Prairie Fire podcast, co-hosted by Vaughan and Gilchrist, Pant was asked to sledge the former England skipper and he came up with a hilarious reply. “I would say (to Vaughan) your'e focussing too much on social media,” Pant said. "He Is Someone Who Likes...": Rishabh Pant Delivers Massive Verdict On Yashasvi Jaiswal

Star India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant heaped praise on youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal and said that the 22-year-old is someone who stays in the present and doesn't think about the future. Jaiswal recently won the ICC Men's Player of the Month for February 2024, beating competition from New Zealand superstar Kane Williamson and Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka. The left-handed batter is currently leading the ICC World Test Championship in runs scored, and two brilliant double-hundreds in back-to-back Test matches against England in February have helped him along.
