While initial suggestions did look to be true, another video has surfaced from the incident, highlighting what exactly had happened. A side angle to the entire episode confirmed that the Sri Lankan pacer didn't touch Dhoni's feet but instead bent down to pick up the bowling marker which was placed not too far from Thala's feet.

Sri Lanka's star spinner, Wanindu Hasaranga, is likely to be unavailable for another week for Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad as he looks to consult doctors overseas about chronic pain in his left heel, according to ESPNcricinfo. Hasaranga recently featured in Sri Lanka's white-ball series against Bangladesh but according to ESPNcricinfo, he did it while going through a substantial amount of pain. During the six matches that he played in the limited-overs format, Hasaranga claimed eight wickets, with six coming in the ODI series and two in the T20I. ESPNcricinfo revealed that Hasaranga was assessed by Sri Lanka Cricket's medical staff and they suspect that the pain is down to the musculo-skeletal apparatus in his left heel having become worn.

Bangaldesh pacer Khaled Ahmed tried to run out Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis at the non-striker's, but missed his throw completely. The incident happened on Day 3 of the ongoing first Test between the two teams in Sylhet on Sunday. On the 63rd over of Sri Lanka's innings, Ahmed tried to catch Mendis off guard by attempting a run out at the non-striker's end. However, he failed to take the bails off as his throw missed the stumps by a whisker. A video of the same incident went viral on social media.
