It was just Bhuvneshwar Kumar who took four wickets with the ball, and the other bowlers had a disappointing day. Yuzvendra Chahal and Axar Patel were unable to leave their mark on the game. The latter just bowled one over where he conceded 19 runs. Former India players Ashish Nehra and Parthiv Patel said that Pant could have brought Axar into the attack earlier than the 12th over to put pressure on Klaasen.

Team India will be touring England for the rescheduled fifth Test match, which got postponed in 2021 due to COVID-19. The fifth Test will be played on July 1 which will be followed by a three-match T20I and ODI series.

The Indian cricket team had a forgettable outing in the second T20I against South Africa in Cuttack on Sunday.
