Punjab Kings Star Expecting Board's Clearance For IPL 2023 This Weekend

Punjab Kings (PBKS) and England all-rounder Liam Livingstone is likely to miss his side's Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday but could arrive in India in time to return from injury in the match against Gujarat Titans on April 13. Livingstone has not played a competitive game since he injured himself during his Test debut against Pakistan four months back in Rawalpindi, when he hurt his knee. In recent weeks, he has also been suffering from a flare-up of an ankle injury that he had sustained in The Hundred last year, which has kept him out of his side's first two matches.

Pakistan have decided to replace Bismah Maroof who stepped down from the captaincy role after the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023. Bismah has been replaced by veteran all-rounder Nida Dar. Along with this Mark Coles has also been confirmed as the new head coach, a role he had occupied previously between 2017 and 2019. Debutant Lorcan Tucker became only the second Irishman to hit a Test century, ably assisted by Andy McBrine's unbeaten 71, to lead a tenacious fightback against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Thursday. Ireland reached 286-8 at stumps on the third day to lead the hosts by 131 runs after resuming on a precarious 27-4 in the one-off Test.
