Sydney-based Nigerian professional boxer, Nestor Bolum, is targeting a knockout against homeboy, Liam Pope, in today’s vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Australasian title fight in Sydney. It is a 10-round contest. Speaking with The Guardian, yesterday, after the weighing-in ceremony, Bolum, who relocated to Sydney in 2015, said that he is 100 per cent fit for the fight, adding that he will teach his Australian opponent a bitter lesson inside the ring. “Liam Pope is taller, but he is too open for me to kill. I am going to teach him a bitter lesson tomorrow (today) by God’s Grace. I am 100 per cent fit, and my target is to knock him down,” Bolum stated. The Guardian learnt that today’s fight will cost the fans as much as $3,000. Each fan will pay $70 for the regular ticket, $2,500 VIP and $3,000 for VVIP ticket.
