Indian cricket team batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was one of the top performers as the Rohit Sharma-led side registered a huge win over Bangladesh in the second Test match in Kanpur on Tuesday. Jaiswal slammed half-centuries in both innings as India produced a brilliant batting display in the rain-affected match. Thanks to the impressive knocks, Jaiswal broke Sunil Gavaskar's long-standing record of scoring most runs for India before turning 23. While Gavaskar scored 918 runs in 1971, Jaiswal now has 929 runs and with matches against New Zealand coming up, he can add to his tally. He also became the second India batter ever to score half-centuries in both innings of a Test match with a 100-plus strike rate.

Opening batsman Latham, who has led the Black Caps in nine Tests, will take charge full-time on the three-Test tour of India starting in Bangalore on October 16.

However, they bowled out Bangladesh twice in two days and a destructive batting display guaranteed a big win for the Rohit-led side. Ashwin revealed after the match that Rohit asked the team to play fearless cricket and that was reflected in the team's batting in the first innings as they went on to break five world records.
The Indian cricket team showed ultimate domination in the second India vs Bangladesh Test to romp to a seven-wicket win. Despite rain washing out over days' play, India defeated Bangladesh with a session left in the second Test on Friday. With the victory, India clean sweeped the Test series 2-0. At the start of Day 5, Bangladesh were 26/2. But they collapsed spectacularly, losing four wickets for just three runs at one point of time. They took a slender 94-run lead but India chased down the target with ease.
