India's Saurav Ghosal outclassed Henry Leung of Hong Kong in the men's singles semifinals to remain firmly on course for a second gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games on Wednesday. Having played his part in the men's team triumph, the world number 19 from India was far too good for the 52-ranked Henry and completed a dominating 11-2, 11-2, 11-6 victory in 33 minutes. India could end up with an unprecedented three gold medals from the squash courts with the mixed doubles duo of Dipika Pallikal and Harinderpal Sandhu also reaching the title clash, to be played on Thursday. Second seed Ghosal will meet top seed Eain Yow Ng in the final on Thursday. The Indian had beaten his Malaysian rival in four games in the team semifinals.

The Indian squash pair of Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Singh advanced to the finals of the mixed doubles competition at the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou on Wednesday. In their mixed doubles semifinal, they beat the Hong Kong duo of Lee Ka Yi and Wong Chi Him by 2-1. The Indian team lost the first set by 7-11. However, Dipika and Harinder showed some amazing resilience and character, clinching the second game by 11-7 in a one-sided manner. In the third set, Hong Kong had a neck-to-neck competition with India, but the latter emerged victorious by 11-9 to win the match.

Archery Pair Deotale-Jyothi Clinches Gold Medal in Compound Mixed Team Final

A supremely confident Ojas Deotale and Jyothi Surekha Vennam dropped just one point to defeat their South Korean opponents by one-point and clinch their second gold medal in archery at the Asian Games here on Wednesday. With this, Indian archers are set to win at least four medals from the ongoing Games, which will better their previous best show at Incheon in 2014 when they bagged a men's team compound gold, one silver and a bronze.
