Chennai Super Kings once again focussed on retaining their core base of players as much as possible as they bought back Deepak Chahar, Dwayne Bravo, Ambati Rayudu and Robin Uthappa in the IPL Mega Auction 2022. A bidding war took place between CSK and Rajasthan Royals to grab Chahar with Chennai emerging successful in buying back Chahar for Rs 14 crore, making him the second most expensive buy of the auction.
England pacer Chris Jordan was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 3.6 crore during the accelerated part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction on Sunday. South Africa batter David Miller got sold to Gujarat Giants for Rs 3 crore while Australia wicketkeeper batter Matthew Wade was also acquired by Gujarat Titans for Rs 2.4 crore England batter Sam Billings was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 2 crore. Meanwhile, Indian wicketkeeper batter Wriddhiman Saha was sold to Gujarat Giants for Rs 1.9 crore.
