Thomas Tuchel Team News Update Ahead Of Luton Town FA Cup Clash
Tottenham and Harry Kane are out of the FA Cup after crashing out to Championship side, Middlesbrough, on Tuesday night.
Inter Milan's miserable month has continued with a goalless derby draw against AC Milan in the first leg of their Italian Cup semi-final.
Former star player Rigobert Song has been named as head coach of the Cameroon national team, replacing Toni Conceicao, on the orders of the country's president.
Jimmy O'Brien hopes his back line versatility puts him in the mix for further call-ups to the Ireland squad.
Rangers’ move for star midfielder Aaron Ramsey could prove to be a ‘waste of time and a waste of money’, according to senior Gers journalist Chris Jack.
AC Milan and Inter Milan played out a disappointing goalless derby draw in the first leg of their Italian Cup semifinal on Tuesday. Milan, the nominal home side at a boisterous San Siro, had the better of the play and opportunities but could not convert their chances into goals and head into next month's second leg level with their local rivals. The away goals rule is still in force in the Italian Cup meaning Milan will have a small advantage when they are hosted by Inter for the decisive clash. "We played well, it was difficult but we have another leg to play," said Theo Hernandez. "We're giving our all and having a great season. We need to keep going and win. We had a lot of chances, but if you don't score you're not going to win."
Tottenham Hotspur suffered an FA Cup upset at the hands of Championship Middlesbrough on Tuesday losing 1-0 after extra time in the fifth round at the Riverside Stadium to Chris Wilder's side. Premier League leaders Manchester City and Crystal Palace both beat lower division opponents to take their place in the quarterfinals. Josh Coburn drilled in the decisive goal in the 107th minute as Middlesbrough followed up their humbling of Manchester United in the previous round with another night to remember. It was another setback for Tottenham manager Antonio Conte who just last week had questioned his future after the 1-0 defeat to Burnley in the Premier League. Conte fielded a full-strength side, sticking with the starting eleven which won 4-0 at Leeds United in the league on Saturday but Middlesbrough were good value for the win.
