Tadej Pogacar to skip Vuelta a Espana to focus on World Championships and one-day classics

Tadej Pogacar has opted out of the Vuelta a Espana this year to instead focus on the World Championships in Australia and the autumn one-day classics. The Slovenian had been due to race a second Grand Tour of the year, but UAE Team Emirates have confirmed that Pogacar will no longer be part of their team for the three-week Spanish race. Michelisz keeps up strong WTCR scoring run

Norbert Michelisz continued his strong scoring run in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup with fourth place in both races at WTCR Race of Italy last weekend. One of several drivers experience of Autodromo Vallelunga Piero Taruffi was limited to testing prior to the event, the BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse driver was taking part in his 99th and 100th WTCR Races.

Monteiro’s birthday double in WTCR

Tiago Monteiro celebrated his 46th birthday by scoring points in both WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup races at Autodromo Vallelunga Piero Taruffi on Sunday. He placed P11 in Race 1 and Race 2 at WTCR Race of Italy driving a Honda Civic Type R TCR for LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler but could have finished higher up the order on each occassion.

Robert Lambert is confident that Great Britain can defend their title at the Speedway of Nations. Lambert was a member the team that triumphed at Belle Vue in 2021 and is back with the team in Denmark trying to make it back-to-back successes.
