'His contribution to Indian cricket has been immense and will never be forgotten' - Anjum Chopra remembers legendary coach Tarak Sinha

Tarak Sinha passing away in November last year at the age of 71 plunged the entire Indian cricket fraternity into a state of mourning. Sinha, who established and ran the very famous and successful Sonnet Cricket Club in Delhi, since 1969, was a father-figure to all his wards. The legendary coach refined and polished the raw skills of multiple players who went on to play for state teams and the National Indian teams.

Kushal Das molestation charges: Ranjit Bajaj lodges complaints with NCW, writes to FIFA, AFC

Ranjit Bajaj has lodged a complaint with the National Commission of Women against All India Football Federation general secretary Kushal Das besides writing to FIFA and AFC's ethics committees, days after alleging that the top official had sexually harassed employees at workplace. Requesting an independent review committee of world football governing body FIFA and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to investigate the grave charges, Bajaj, on Thursday questioned why the AIFF has not yet contacted him and asked for evidence despite the grave charges against Das, whereas he "has already written" to the AIFF.

Desired result did not come due to poor 'structuring' of line-up: Mahela Jayawardene

Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene on Thursday admitted that "lack of execution" in close games during this IPL season has been due to the poor "structuring" of line-up, putting them at the bottom of the 10-team table. Mumbai Indians are already out of the IPL having lost eight games on the bounce before logging home their first points. But more importantly, the critics have been vindicated about five-time champions' poor auction strategy. The mediocre bunch of domestic players like Basil Thampi, Jaydev Unadkat, Murugan Ashwin along with purely sentimental retentions like Kieron Pollard and an insane bid of INR 15.25 crore for Ishan Kishan have all contributed to MI's downfall.

Making Ravindra Jadeja Captain In Place Of MS Dhoni Was "Wrong Decision", Virender Sehwag Comes Down Hard On Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have almost been pushed to the brink of exit from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 play-off race after their recent loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday. They have now lost seven out of 10 matches to be placed ninth in the 10-team league. Their team combination has also not been settled. While Ravindra Jadeja was named the captain at the start of the season, after eight matches MS Dhoni was named the skipper with the former deciding to focus on his own game. There have been shortcomings in the other departments too.

"He Was Unable To Convert...": As Rohit Sharma Struggles, Mumbai Indians Coach Mahela Jayawardena Has This To Say On Star Opener

Five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Mumbai Indians are going through a forgettable season as they have managed to win just one out of nine games. All three departments of the game have not worked in unison for the franchise in this edition. That is one of the reasons why the Rohit Sharma-led side is at the bottom of the table with just two points. Rohit Sharma has also not been able to score big as he has registered just  155 runs in nine games at an average of 17.22. With him going through a lean patch, MI have failed to get big opening partnerships.
