Daniel Vettori, Vernon Philander Among Players To Commit To Legends League Cricket's 2nd Edition

Legends League Cricket on Sunday announced that about 80 international and Indian players combined have confirmed their availability for the upcoming second edition of the league. They will be available to be picked up by the franchises for the drafting event that will be held in Mumbai in the coming few days. "The overall pool of players now stands at 85 players from 10 countries across the world," stated an official media release.

India will take on Pakistan in their first match of the upcoming Asia Cup on August 28 in Dubai. Both teams had met last year during the T20 World Cup at the same venue, with Pakistan coming out on top. Ugliness, along with some potential for future litigation and quite a bit of antagonism enveloped the air this week after the ICC sent out a huge list of clarifications to the broadcasters, answering their questions in detail, but not making any major changes to the tender process.

Pakistan and Netherlands will be squaring off in a three-match ODI series, starting from August 16, and the next two games will be played on 18 and 21 at the Hazelaarweg Stadium in Rotterdam.
